The Addams Family . . dah, dah, dah, dah (snap) (snap)

Kim and Fred Wedding 030 Kim and Fred Wedding 031The bride was crying prior to the ceremony that she so much had wanted for her brother, who was in the military,  to give her away, but he just didn’t make it in time.  Two minutes before the wedding began, in ran her brother!  Such joy was on the bride’s face and here is a picture of him giving her away.  Needless to say, you have probably gathered that the groom’s last name is Adams . . . what a fitting recessional song for grins and giggles–they had the DJ play the them to “THE ADDAMS FAMILY” and everyone snapped their fingers in unison!  A great day had by all!Kim and Fred Wedding 008

Memorial Weekend Weddings 2014 014Memorial Weekend Weddings 2014 040The day was gorgeous and we had three weddings to perform!  This was the final one of the day in Frankenmuth–just an intimate ceremony by the mill.  It could not have been a more beautiful ending to a perfect day! The balloons began ascending right after I pronounced this couple husband and wife.  I am sure we will all remember that awesome site!Memorial Weekend Weddings 2014 074 Memorial Weekend Weddings 2014 086

Lake, Love, Labs and Loads of Fun!

This couple decided to get married on whatever date we had available.  Now that IS flexibility!  The wedding was put together in about 2 weeks and Aunt Sue’s lake house seemed like the perfect place to tie the knot. The family dogs were running around excited to be part of all the preparation.  The day was alittle chilly, but during the ceremony, the sun came out and warmed the guests and wedding party for us all to enjoy the event!

Impromptu Park Wedding

Through many trials and tribulations, this couple had to postpone their wedding for several months.  They had a celebration last year in the anticipation of being able to legally become husband and wife.  A few calls back and forth determined that they just wanted to get married without any fanfare, so we planned to meet in the park on a chilly March day for them to seal their vows.  We looked around and found a perfect spot by the rushing river where the family gathered around for the ceremony.  Sometimes the most simple of plans can turn out to be extraordinary as it was for this couple.  Bottom line, this could not have been a more beautiful wedding!

Snow White now has Seven Dwarfs!

Gary and Deanne Jan 18 2014 017When this fun loving couple decided to get married . . . it included seven children!  Not only were they awesome, but the seven little ones made the day even brighter.

They all knew the hierarchy and actually coined themselves the Seven Dwarfs!  Her Prince Charming now shares life with the charm that only that size of a family can bring.  Our best to you and all those delightful dwarfs!Gary and Deanne Jan 18 2014 021Gary and Deanne Jan 18 2014 022

Field of Dreams . . .

for site4 site
We met this couple at a bridal show and they told us they were planning on getting married in Ruby, MI over the 4th of July weekend. A few weeks later, they contacted us to discuss their wedding plans and book their date. When we arrived, we walked down a path that opened up into a clearing with a pond in the middle surrounded by campers. It was an annual family gathering that this couple chose to share their wedding day with. With grills cooking and children playing, this wedding took place upon a hill in front of the family and guests. We love all the surprises we get to experience along the way and this was, definitely a very pleasant one! The best to the two of you!

Good Times at Good Tymes Barn!

Country Weddings 022Country Weddings 009Country Weddings 014What a good time had by all at the Good Tymes Barn wedding. All the wedding party wore cowboy boots to kick up their heels at the reception and I made sure I had my boots on. The sky was menacing prior to the ceremony, but as always, God is good and staved off the rain on this very hot July afternoon. This country scene was perfect for this country couple. May they continue to love, laugh and enjoy each other!

I Guess “On Location” Weddings are in our blood!

This first picture is of Melanie’s great-grandfather who was a minister, travelling to do a wedding in another town that did not have a minister.

This second picture is of Melanie’s great aunt getting married beside their new car.  I guess they had outdoor weddings long before we did! They must’ve been in a hurry to get on with their married lives!
