Picture Perfect

When this out of town couple arrived for the rehearsal, they were quite frazzled with the week’s events, only to discover that the event planner was not going to make it.  We conducted the rehearsal and assured them that everything would be perfect on their wedding day.  As the time neared for their ceremony to begin, Melanie went to check with the event planner on beginning the ceremony.  The young girl said this was going to be her first wedding and she did not know what to do . . . thank God, Melanie had been at the rehearsal and stepped right up to make sure this couple got the best wedding despite the disorganization of the staff.  The entire wedding party, bride and groom and parents were so grateful we had their backs and made for a flawless entrance and ceremony. it!  Pine Knob Weekend Weddings 020

Emerald Golf Renewal

This couple had gotten married the year before and then had second thoughts on wanting to renew their vows in a ceremony setting as they were not pleased with the way they did it initially.  So, in front of family and friends, they said their vows again, and got to incorporate the bride’s daughter in the sand ceremony.  They were so thrilled with the repeat performance, as they said their first wedding minister was awful and they were so happy they had found Wishing Well Weddings!

Double Delight at the Double Tree!

This vintage duo were so excited to tie the knot!  I thought the groom was going to burn himself right out with enthusiasm before these two said “I Do”  At the last minute, the couple were going to have their combined grandchildren walk up the aisle before them.  Since they did not have any prior coaching, the oldest, who was the leader of the pack started walking in to the left of the guests and all the little ones followed suit!  We finally got them on the right path to the front with a lot of smiles and giggles from the guest. Following the wedding, a lady came up to us to say her daughter was in the Freighters restaurant and that I had performed her wedding at the exact same place a few years past!

What a small world.

All in all, it was a beautiful day overlooking the St. Clair River and the twin bridges between the US and Canada . . .

Fireworks For This Fourth of July Couple

The 4th of July is the bride’s favorite holiday.  What better day than to also get married on your favorite day?  The couple was planning on surprising everyone at the backyard BBQ with their wedding, but decided to spill the beans (not the baked beans : ) so that all would show up in time to celebrate this joyous occasion with them.  The weather was perfect and the couple had known each other when they were younger.  As happens, life sent them in different directions, but alas, they found each other again and knew that the fireworks were still there!

Princess Processional for a Princess Bride

On this beautiful day in May at Boulder Pointe,  each one of the bridesmaids walked the aisle to a different Disney Princess theme song.  It was so unique and special as it ushered in the bride who truly looked like the ultimate Princess!  The couple chose to put together the Unity Cross to seal their commitment to God and to each other.  As this Princess married her Prince — may they live their fairytale happily ever after . . . Passing Up/Down the Wedding Gown!

Dan and Tracy in Lindon July 5th 2014 009As I went to talk to the bride and was admiring her wedding gown, her daughter told me that her mom was wearing her wedding gown.  That was a new twist!  How great it was the mom was able to fit into her daughter’s gown and get another wearing for it.  Maybe, when the granddaughter grows up, she can be part of the tradition and wear it also! Dan and Tracy in Lindon July 5th 2014 004 This fun backyard wedding involved a bonfire, music and fun guests and was a most perfect day for the newlyweds!

Five Times to Get IT Right!

Castle Wedding And Uris 041 (1)It’s not what you think–this is not the fifth time this couple have been married, but it is the fifth time they were married to each other!  It started as a joke, but then, it became a fun tradition.  They got married in Vegas by an Elvis impersonator–twice at the Renaissance Festival and once by “Friar Tuck” at a costume party!  It was such fun to pronounce them truly and legally married in the fifth and final ceremony!  Since you two decided to tie the knot five times, I would say that you are going to make it last.  Looking forward to their vow renewals in the future!Party (1)

Calypso, Clouds and Geese?

This couple had a beautiful day for their Greystone wedding and a Steel Drum Band played while the family and friends were seated and the processional began.

A cool breeze and sunny skies had all the makings of a perfect wedding, almost . . . that is until a gaggle of geese decided to fly directly over the ceremony honking like crazy!  Of course, having to stop the ceremony until they past was not the worst fear–thank God they did not decide to leave any “deposits” on the anxious guests!!

Love on Lake Huron

This beautiful couple rented a beach house on the lake for their nuptials.  Down the long staircase walked the bride with the sun behind her which was stunning. Salvatore Wedding 004 An ATV was designated as the “limo” to bring the guests down who could not navigate the stairs–then the 3 little flower girls did what wedding pictures are made for! Salvatore Wedding 007 How incredibly perfect is this picture of them dipping their toes in the water following the wedding!

It was an absolutely picturesque day for a beach wedding and we were so honored to be apart of it/  Salvatore Wedding 016
