Passing Up/Down the Wedding Gown!

Dan and Tracy in Lindon July 5th 2014 009As I went to talk to the bride and was admiring her wedding gown, her daughter told me that her mom was wearing her wedding gown.  That was a new twist!  How great it was the mom was able to fit into her daughter’s gown and get another wearing for it.  Maybe, when the granddaughter grows up, she can be part of the tradition and wear it also! Dan and Tracy in Lindon July 5th 2014 004 This fun backyard wedding involved a bonfire, music and fun guests and was a most perfect day for the newlyweds!

Love on Lake Huron

This beautiful couple rented a beach house on the lake for their nuptials.  Down the long staircase walked the bride with the sun behind her which was stunning. Salvatore Wedding 004 An ATV was designated as the “limo” to bring the guests down who could not navigate the stairs–then the 3 little flower girls did what wedding pictures are made for! Salvatore Wedding 007 How incredibly perfect is this picture of them dipping their toes in the water following the wedding!

It was an absolutely picturesque day for a beach wedding and we were so honored to be apart of it/  Salvatore Wedding 016

The Addams Family . . dah, dah, dah, dah (snap) (snap)

Kim and Fred Wedding 030 Kim and Fred Wedding 031The bride was crying prior to the ceremony that she so much had wanted for her brother, who was in the military,  to give her away, but he just didn’t make it in time.  Two minutes before the wedding began, in ran her brother!  Such joy was on the bride’s face and here is a picture of him giving her away.  Needless to say, you have probably gathered that the groom’s last name is Adams . . . what a fitting recessional song for grins and giggles–they had the DJ play the them to “THE ADDAMS FAMILY” and everyone snapped their fingers in unison!  A great day had by all!Kim and Fred Wedding 008

Grandma’s Garden

As this couple vowed to spend their lives together, another memory was made.  The house on the beach was built by the bride’s grandparents many years ago and today they got to witness the marriage of their granddaughter on the same beach she played as a child.  I’m sure that visions of that little girl were in their minds and hearts as this young woman became a wife.  As they walked through the garden to the beach and held their sand ceremony on a table made by her grandfather, richness of tradition continued. Surrounded by others who shared the good times just experienced yet another with this beautiful bride and her new husband.  Thank you for sharing it with us as well!

4 years = 4 ever

Once again, a perfect day at the beach for this young couple starting out their lives as ONE. It took 4 years for them to get here, having met one fateful night 4 years ago at a wedding of mutual friends. Through many moves around the country apart and together, they finally realized that God had a plan for the two of them. Their love survived trials and time zones to bring them to this very special day. No longer would they travel the paths of life alone, but the path through the woods to the beach began their forever.

Congratulations and Blessings!

“No Matter the Weather, As Long As We’re Together”

If you live in Michigan for any length of time, you know one thing about the weather–the joke of “wait 15 minutes and it will change”.  Most of April had been beautiful this year, so this couple thought it would be a safe bet to get married at Lighthouse Beach in Port Huron–well . . . this particular day, the wind was blowing about 25 miles and hour and SNOW–yes, SNOW began to fall!  What troopers they were withstanding the elements for a most unforgetable marriage ceremony!  We hope your wedding day was the only stormy weather you will encounter in your marriage.
