Just got this wonderful picture from a Fall 2016 Bride. I knew the groom had planned a special kiss, but we were all delighted with this most excellently executed dip! One for the memory books at Fern Hill.
This couple decided that the Goodells Chapel was the place for them to tie the knot and have their reception on the grounds of the park. It was a glorious summer day and all was just about perfect . . . except it was a day that an auction was going on in one of the barns by the chapel. Other than the occasional competing against the auctioneer, the vehicles were quite a site filling the area surrounding the chapel. All in all, a most unforgettable, great day! The ringing of the bell is always a hi-lite!
I am always so happy when I encounter a couple who have gone through the anguish of divorce, and are getting remarried. We say our vows, and we mean them. Sometimes however things happen in life that we think we simply cannot stay together. It is a blessing that these two lovely people are coming back together again with more wisdom, experience, love, and the strength of a marriage that only comes from going through life’s fires and coming out the other side.
When this fun loving couple decided to get married . . . it included seven children! Not only were they awesome, but the seven little ones made the day even brighter.
This sweet couple chose November to begin their life together in the cozy lodge at Waldenwoods. The three wood fireplaces were aglow to ward off the very chilly day, but the warmth of the wedding as these two exchanged their vows is what made this beautiful setting even more so. A rustic theme complemented the atmosphere and the newlyweds were even able to run outside for a few nippy photos before retreating to the lodge for their reception. We hope the very best for these two as they begin the holidays as husband and wife.
UPDATE: 2/2014: We received a message from this couple that they are expecting a baby this summer!
What a good time had by all at the Good Tymes Barn wedding. All the wedding party wore cowboy boots to kick up their heels at the reception and I made sure I had my boots on. The sky was menacing prior to the ceremony, but as always, God is good and staved off the rain on this very hot July afternoon. This country scene was perfect for this country couple. May they continue to love, laugh and enjoy each other!
This second picture is of Melanie’s great aunt getting married beside their new car. I guess they had outdoor weddings long before we did! They must’ve been in a hurry to get on with their married lives!
Apple Mountain Chapel
Almont New Church AssemblyThe last two weekend weddings involved beautiful historic chapels! There is something quaint about Springtime and chapels and, of course, getting to ring the bell in celebration after the newlyweds have been presented as husband and wife! We have performed weddings on several repeat occassions at various old chapels in Michigan and each one is unique!
