It’s A Small World After All!

We are always amazed at life connections and how interesting we find them out!  We were at this lovely couple’s wedding.  The bride is thanking all the guests during the toasting of the happy newlyweds and we hear that they met at one of our favorite restaurants that they both worked at.  Our ears perked up as we know of another bride and close friend that had also worked there in the past. Sure enough–they had worked together for years and our friend had watched the two of the fall in love while working there!  We hope these two spend many a romantic dinner at the place where it all began.

Best wishes and have a wonderful life as husband and wife.

Antique and White Lace

What a beautiful May day for a small country chapel wedding! Even though it is on the grounds of a golf course, it seems like a century back in time when you open the huge doors into the bell tower foyer.  The pews and arch windows made it even more elegant. On the platform is a fasinating wooden altar and lecturn fine crafted a long time ago.  This great couple had such a perfect archway of bubbles as they re-entered the chapel for pictures and the attending children were in awe with grown ups blowing bubbles with them!

Future preachers?  Very cute picture, huh?

Congratulations to this lovely couple and may the future be as bright as the day they said I do ~

East Meets West

It isn’t too often we get to do a church wedding, but this gorgeous sanctuary
was opened to us for the marriage of two different cultures and denominations.  Despite the differences, this couple blended perfectly together.    It was awesome to see the interaction of the many guests becoming one family with shaking of hands, hugs and smiles all around after the ceremony.
A bright future and blessings to these newlyweds.

Fashionably Late, but ended up Great!

The wedding was supposed to begin at 6 pm.  At 5:55, no bride-no groom.  The maid of honor and flowergirl were waiting for their dresses to arrive.  The bride’s mom was frantically making phone calls.  Panic was rising in the other attendants . . . . in walks the groom, which we tucked away to keep from seeing the bride.  Minutes later, the bride arrives.  Frenzy in the ladies room as dresses, shoes and flowers were passed out.  Unbelievably, the wedding ceremony began less than 15 minutes later!  After this beautiful bride and her new husband were pronounced — there were smiles all around.  What an amazing blessing from God that all the chaos melted away when the ceremony began.

April Love

It never ceases to amaze us of all the cool venues we encounter.  We were given the address for this wedding as a chiropractic clinic.  Sounds like a most unusual location for a wedding until we stepped through the doors and realized it was originally a small church that had been converted.  The sanctuary remained intact and the clinic was on the lower level.  It was such a surprise and a beautiful, intimate wedding for a truly great couple. They put their wedding together in a week as the groom’s Marine son (his Best Man) had received his orders and would be leaving shortly. Congratulations and may God be with you!

Why Marriage

by Mari Nichols-Haining

Because to the depths of me, I long to love one person, With all my heart, my soul, my body… Because I need a forever friend to trust with the intimacies of me, Who won’t hold them against me, Who loves me when I’m unlikable, Who sees the small child in me, and Who looks for the divine potential of me… Because I need to cuddle in the warmth of the night With someone who thanks God for me, With someone I feel blessed to hold… Because marriage means opportunity To grow in love in friendship… Because marriage is a discipline To be added to a list of achievements… Because marriages do not fail, people fail When they enter into marriage Expecting another to make them whole… Because, knowing this, I promise myself to take full responsibility For my spiritual, mental, and physical wholeness I create me, I take half of the responsibility for my marriage Together we create our marriage…

Because of this understanding The possibilities are limitless.

Forgotten Bouquet – Not Runaway!

This beautiful ceremony began perfectly.  The bridesmaids glided down the elegant winding staircase and all the wedding party was in their places.  All eyes were on the bride and her father through the mirrors facing the stairway bridge when she stopped halfway, turned around and ran back!  After a hushed moment, and a very surprised look on dad’s face, she returned holding up her bouquet she had forgotten in the bridal room.  All smiles and chuckles as she made her momentous  entrance!

We think that broke the ice for the nervous bride as she was relaxed and happy for the rest of the ceremony.  Always expecting the unexpected makes each wedding unique and delightful.  Our Best  To You Both : )
