We always love our weddings at Stony Creek, but, we have our memories from each that make it extra special! This happened to be one of the few super hot summer days in Michigan. When we arrived, the fans were blasting in the tent and we saw the bride sitting on a stool in her shorts and t-shirt trying to stay cool before the big moment arrived. The walk to the gazebo is a rather long one . . . but the couple had arranged for a golf cart to provide transportation to the guests who preferred not to walk. However, the cart arrived five minutes before the ceremony was about to begin so we were amused by the driver racing down and back scurrying to get the guest in place. The bride and her dad made the walk down the wood chip path to her waiting groom. All were alittle steamy, but it was worth every degree! May they find happiness and love and “warmth” throughout their marriage!

Chapels in the Spring
Apple Mountain Chapel
Almont New Church Assembly
The last two weekend weddings involved beautiful historic chapels! There is something quaint about Springtime and chapels and, of course, getting to ring the bell in celebration after the newlyweds have been presented as husband and wife! We have performed weddings on several repeat occassions at various old chapels in Michigan and each one is unique!Irish Wedding Blessing
May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.
May God be with you and bless you;
May you see your children’s children.
May you be poor in misfortune,
Rich in blessings,
May you know nothing but happiness![]()
From this day forward.
May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the warm rays of sun fall upon your home
And may the hand of a friend always be near.
May green be the grass you walk on,
May blue be the skies above you,
May pure be the joys that surround you,
May true be the hearts that love you.

♥VALENTINE’S DAY WEDDINGS!!! ♥
One Year Later . . . .
I wanted to take a moment on this day to thank you and your wife for marrying my husband and I a year ago. This year truly has been amazing for us. I apologize on not getting these photos to you sooner. We actually didn’t get them until about 5 months ago ourselves. We have been blessed to welcome our first child into this world in October so we’ve been pretty busy.
I hope you and your wife are doing well and will enjoy the holiday season. Thank you again and feel free to use these pictures on your website.
Best wishes,
Kristin & Michael

Our Two 12/12/12 weddings!
The first wedding was at 12:00 on 12/12/12 on the boardwalk in Port Huron near the bridges. Our chilly couple shed a few icicle tears, but didn’t let the temperature effect their happiness. Congratulations and may God’s Blessings be on you both! We also received an awesome email from the delighted couple a few days later:
“Rev Tab,
Brian and myself would like to give you our heartfilled thanks for providing us with such a unique ceremony that fit our personalites to a “T”. The day weather wise was perfect, the sun was out, the sounds of the water so perfect. It was more than we could have hoped for. That day, at the same exact time we cried tears of happiness together. We are excited to see pictures so we may look at them daily as a reminder of how beautiful our day was.
You are truly a God send. Groom and Bride 12/12/12″
The second lovely couple decided that the best location for their small wedding was the assisted living home where she worked. How touching and selfless to share their most intimate day with those who would otherwise be unable to attend.
The contrast was a warm indoor with the fireplace and Christmas tree, but both weddings were amazingly beautiful! Congratuations and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your 12/12/12 wedding!
Better Late Than Never . . . .
The guests were waiting and waiting and waiting . . . was there going to be a wedding??? Somewhere along the route, the limo bus got stuck in 5:00 rush traffic and couldn’t make it to the ceremony location on time. If it had been a gorgeous day . . . no one would’ve minded. This was not one of those days for this outside wedding.
As the late Fall sky darkened, the wedding party finally arrived! Once this ceremony was done, it was like a fire drill as the guest ran to get inside and warmed up. Here is a picture of the happy couple, once they had a chance to thaw out . . .
Congratulations and as they say, “better late than never”.
